Goodhue Baseball/Softball Youth Athletics

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time. We are very excited to get our season going. As always your child's safety is our number one concern. We have developed a COVID plan to keep your child, coaches and all those involved in making this baseball/softball season successful and safe. Our plans have been approved by the school and we will be moving forward with scheduling practices. Keep in mind practices will look different and social distancing will be expected.

Things are changing daily.  Please keep in mind that as of today games have not been approved, but practices have been permitted to allow a limited number of players on the field at a time.

We want to stress that playing ball this summer will look very different. We have many rules and guidelines to abide by to make this happen. Please visit our COVID Info page to view our COVID guidelines or click here.

In order to participate in GBSA activities in 2020, we are requiring a waiver to be completed for every player, coach and volunteer.  To download the Required COVID Waiver click here or utilize our online form.

Your respective coaches should be contacting your athlete soon.

GBSA Softball & Baseball Goals

Focus on whole child development, not just baseball/softball skills and improve individuals and the team through effort and teamwork while having fun. Our goal is to provide an opportunity to improve the physical and social growth of all players through emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development through competition.

What does the GBSA do?
-Helps schedule practice times, games and tournaments for girls and boys program
-Provides an area where parents can go to if they would like to help in coaching
-Help supply funds for league, tournaments and uniforms
-Provides opportunities for all players to work on their fundamental baseball/softball skills
-Monitors coaching performance to make sure coaches are being fair to players
-Support coaches in coaching techniques and team development
